Real Estate Lawyers
A good Real Estate Lawyer can be the best thing in your back pocket for a smooth Real Estate Deal. They will look out for Best Interests in a House Purchase or Property Sale, and can make your life so much easier. Quite often think their Realtor has covered all the Bases in a Real Estate Deal when that is often not the case. A quick trip to the Lawyer to have them look over any pending deal is essential to your mental well-being, since a bad Real Estate Deal is something to be avoided, if at all possible.
We have friends who have lost a lot of money because they thought (and were told by a Realtor...) they were protected in a Real Estate Sale, and ended up losing the Sale and then losing the next house purchase -- not good. The nominal cost of having your own Lawyer go over any Agreement will save you a lot of time, money and hassle over the long-haul, and Real Estate Lawyers are easy to deal with. And many of them are even nice! ha,ha!
If you are part of a 'Couple', your Lawyer should see both of you together, then each of you separately, to make sure neither person is being coerced into a Sale or Purchase, and to let you know any specific information that might pertain to you. If you have any concerns whatsoever, the time to speak up is in the Lawyer's Office, so don't be afraid to say what you feel. No chatting on and on, though -- Lawyers are expensive, so get to the point and listen to what they say.
A Good Lawyer can be Your Best Asset, so make sure you find someone you like and trust, who is fair with their Pricing. Real Estate Deals (Property Sales in particular) usually cost between $600 - $1200 for the Paperwork (higher in Large Cities, I'm guessing...), so poke about a wee bit to find a great lawyer for a Price you think is reasonable.
